Melanie Melia is a 30+ year veteran of the natural products industry. Natural foods are not only her professional focus, but her way of life. Melanie loves her chosen industry as it fulfills her commitment to helping people improve their quality of life through healthy dietary and lifestyle choices.

Melanie got her on-the-job training at a natural foods co-op in Boston in the mid-1970s. In 1976, Melanie opened a premier natural foods store on Long Island, New York, which she owned and operated for 22 years. She then spent several years on the management teams of Whole Foods Market and Mrs. Green's in the New York area before moving into the brokerage business.

Melanie lives on Long Island with her husband. She has five children, two granddaughters and another grandchild on the way. Yoga, art, cooking, and traveling are personal passions.
